Petroleum Minister follows up on MIDOR Refinery expansion, MIDTAP station in Alexandria

Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, inspected the progress of work at the MIDTPA petroleum products handling station in the Dekheila port. The tour included an inspection of the expansions of the MIDOR refinery to increase its production capacity. El-Molla stressed the importance of adhering to the timetable for the completion of the phases of the project, with a total investment cost of about $2.4 billion. The first phase of the expansion is planned to start operation during the current year.

MIDTAP Chairman: New petroleum products handling station has a capacity of 40,000 tons

Ayman Roshdy, Chairman and Managing Director of MIDTAP said that the petroleum products handling station has a capacity of 40,000 tons and receives tankers carrying between 30,000 and 40,000 tons and includes 7 lines for trading butane, gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and styrene. He added that the surplus of petroleum products produced by MIDOR Refinery is also exported.
