Sarah Assem,succeeded in obtaining the gold medal in the African Kata Championship

Player Sarah Assem, player of Petro Sport Club and the national karate team working for the Middle East Oil Tankage and Pipelines (Midtap) succeeded in obtaining the gold medal in the African Kata Championship in September 2019 and obtaining a second-class sports medal from President \ Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Sarah Assem is the first African-Egyptian player to win a silver kata in the World Championship and the highest African points so far to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics 2020
