Since starting the implementation of MIDTAP project, it has been one of its most important priorities and vision in this regard is clear.so During the implementation of the project, MIDTAP has been keen on following the international standards and criteria in the field of quality, safety, occupational health and environment, with the aim of reaching the utmost levels of perfection. Idealism and maintaining the continuity of the company's activity without causing any harm or breaches of quality, safety and occupational health and environment in accordance to the Egyptian Environmental Protection Law No. 4 of 1994 and its updates to date. From this standpoint, MIDTAP was keen to obtain the following international ISO certificates for quality , safety, occupational health and environment protection management systems as follow:
- ISO 9001:2015 for quality
- ISO 14001:2015 for environment
- ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health
- - Midtap also obtained the International Ship and Ports Security Code.
- - In addition MIDTAP obtained a certificate of technical conformity to the company’s site at El-Dekheila port in Alexandria, with a grade of excellence from PETROSAFE Company which approved by SGS company.
Middle East Oil Tankages and Pipelines (MIDTAP) applies an effective Environmental protection program and an adequate Quality, Health & Safety Management System to insure the safety of personnel and assets. We are committed to comply with QHSE legal and other requirements & apply an environmentally friendly business practices.

Middle East Oil Tankage and Pipelines (MIDTAP) is the first Egyptian investment shareholding company who carries out infrastructure projects for handling and storage oil, gas and petrochemicals besides the coke loading facilities using the B.L.T system at MIDOR refinery and in Dekheila port.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH
Midtap is committed to implement an adequate Health & Safety Management System to prevent & decrease the severity and number of accidents, occupational illnesses and work injuries through setting adequate control measures and taking preventive actions and precautions to prevent potential risks.
We implement a management system in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 45001:2018 Occupational health and safety standards in respect to management, Control, and supervision of oil tankage & pipelines. With certification from TUV Austria.
According to the annual statistics, MIDTAP achieved 4650 safe working days since starting operation date at El-Deikheila port until year 2020.
SAFETY
Midtap is committed to create safe working conditions for its employees. It is an integral part of the company business performance and a prime responsibility of management at every level, "Safety Is Everyone's Responsibility" is our motto.
Our aim is to prevent & decrease the severity and number of accidents and work injuries through setting adequate control measures and taking preventive actions and precautions to prevent potential risks.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Our main priority is to protect the workplace environment & control the natural resources consumption also decrease the negative environmental influence on our surrounding environment related to work activities.
MIDTAP monitors all the enviromental measurements at our site periodically to maintain internal and external environment surrounding also conserve water and energy consumptions. We installed solar panels at our head quarter in Cairo and our site in Alexandria. We believe that the environment is our most valuable asset.
