El-Molla, Eno discuss injecting new investments in the Gulf of Suez and the Delta

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla discussed with a delegation from the Italian company Eni, Eni's preparations to inject new investments in the Gulf of Suez and Nile Delta areas, according to the commitment agreement signed last December. The meeting also tackled the Italian company's activities in Egypt, future projects and new investments within the framework of the plan to increase production levels from the existing fields.

Minister of Petroleum Tarek El Molla said that the petrochemicals, chemicals and fertilizer industries benefited greatly from the availability of natural gas in the past period, which was positively reflected on the rise in its exports during 2021 to about $6.7 billion, an increase of 45% over the previous year, making it one of the most important factors of the boom achieved by the total exports Egypt during the year.

احتلت مصر المرتبة الأولى إفريقيًا على مستوى إنتاج النفط خارج منظمة أوبك، حيث ساهم قطاع النفط والغاز في الناتج المحلي الإجمال للدولة بنحو 27% خلال 2018/2019، ما يعادل 1.4 تريليون جنيه، ونشر مركز معلومات مجلس الوزراء إنفوجرافًا أوضح أن طاقة التكرير في مصر هي الأكبر إفريقيا على مدار 10 سنوات بنحو 800 ألف برميل، كما ارتفع إجمالي قيمة صادرات الغاز الطبيعي المسال لتصبح 1.24 مليار دولار في 2019.

تراجعت أسعار النفط خلال تداولات نهاية الأسبوع؛ فعلى الرغم من أن هناك بعض المؤشرات على تعافي جزئي في مستويات الطلب على النفط غير أن التوقعات بأن يتم زيادة المعروض من النفط قد مارست ضغوط أقوى عل أسعار النفط دفعتها للتراجع، حيث سجل خام برنت 62.14 دولار للبرميل.
